This opportunity is available to join a reputable State Government Department on a full time temporary contract until November, with potential for extension. Our client is looking for experienced Team Leaders / Candidates with Management/Supervisory experience to manage two assessment officers.

Your new role

This role is responsible for establishing and overseeing the administration of an industry financial assistance package. The role is required to build and run the assessment and payment process for these, in line with best practice assessment, validation, financial management, accounting, reporting and audit principles.
Duties will include:

• Deliver the point to point transport financial assistance scheme and evaluation framework to the agreed scope.
• Manage contract and procurement processes to build and run assessment and payment processes for the financial assistance scheme.
• Provide quality, timely and accurate coordination and monitoring of budgets, submissions and payments.
• Ensure that financial data is current, accurate and comprehensive and meets business and reporting needs by maintaining the integrity of financial data and reporting stuctures in relevant accounting and reporting systems.
• Support effective and informed decision making by preparing, analysing, monitoring and forecasting in respect of scheme payments and liabilities.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful for this position you should have:

• Previous experience in a manager/team leader/supervisory position, preferably within finance, insurance, claims or assessments
• Be willing to commute to the Sydney CBD office 5 days per week
• Be able to commence on the 23rd of May short notice and commit to this assignment until 22nd of November, with potential for extension
• A working understanding of financial data and analysis
• You must be a confident multi-tasker and have a committed approach to customer satisfaction and management

Please note this contract is currently looking to on the 23rd of May so you must be available at short notice and able to provide two recent references.

What you’ll get in return

On offer to you is a pay-rate of $600 – 680 per day + super, depending on experience. In return you will receive excellent working hours Monday to Friday working 7 hours per day / 35 hours per week during normal business hours. You will be joining a supportive team environment on a temporary contract currently estimated until November, with potential for extension.
