Our client is a Victorian state government organisation who currently have a vacancy for a talented senior finance professional to take on a key role within the organisation on a fixed term contract basis.

Your new role

Reporting to the deputy CFO, this role has responsibility for ensuring effective financial management of the organisation. Key duties include:

• Shape and develop strategies relating to financial planning and budget management
• Undertake analysis and modelling of cost, revenue and funding streams to inform strategic financial planning and decision making
• Develop and implement improved decision-making processes, systems and practices that support integrated planning, risk and performance management
• Leadership of 4 direct reports

What you’ll need to succeed

• CA/CPA
• Highly-developed strategic thinking capability influencing strategic planning
• Extensive experience in finance, budgeting, accounting and business planning in a public -sector context
• Understanding of the State Government budget and forward estimate processes
