Lawnswood is seeking an empathetic and motivated State Manager to join their WA team and assist in further business growth.

Your new role
You will be responsible:

• Guiding Area Managers and the Cremation team to manage a high standard of efficient operations
• Supporting the Client Care Team in providing the highest standards of customer service
• Driving the cultivation of a positive company culture
• Promotion of the company through business development activities and engaging with external stakeholders
• Day-to-day management of the business and administration functions including some transactional finance
• Driving continuous development of operational systems, processes, and policies in support of the company’s service delivery standards
• Delivery of a high level of Occupational Health and Safety standards

What you’ll need to succeed

• The ability to combine professionalism with empathy and genuine compassion
• Inclusive leadership style with proven success in developing individuals to create empowered, high performing teams
• Willingness and ability to provide ‘hands-on’ support to team members as needed across all areas of the business. This will include the physical and emotional capability to handle deceased pets.
• Minimum of five years previous experience in business and people management in a small to medium company
• A dedicated customer focus with excellent customer service and a high level of written and verbal communication skills
• An understanding and technical appreciation of industrial equipment and fleet management
• Solid MS Office user skills and a competent understanding of common office IT equipment
• Previous experience in CRM and Accounting software would be well regarded
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, and make informed decisions under pressure
• Strong WHS awareness and a champion of best practice
