Hays Technology have partnered with a Federal Government based organisation who are seeking an ambitious Junior/Entry Level Developer to join their team on a 6 month fixed term basis, with potential for extension.

This role will be based in Brisbane CBD, in close proximity to Central Station.

Your new role

In this role, you will join a team developing surveys within the Confirmit and Blaise platforms. These surveys will be used to provide data in order to help the organisation produce important statistics and insights to inform educated decision making.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring that specifications for survey instruments are fit for purpose and achievable in organisations infrastructure in required timeline
• Develop instruments to organisations standards
• Ensure development and release standards is maintained and that knowledge base documentation is kept up to date.
• Ability to work coercively with relevant testing teams to help shape plans and resolve exceptions encountered
• Provide production support where necessary
• Contributing positively to a team-based environment

What you’ll need to succeed

• Australian Citizenship
• Experience with JavaScript and CSS
• Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar (or demonstrated comparable experience)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in team environment

Previous experience working in a client facing role would be advantageous. Strong knowledge of ITSM in an application support environment as well as Continuous Delivery and DevOps principles and practices would be highly desirable.

What you’ll get in return

This role offers you a salary of $66,852 + 15.4% Superannuation, flextime (7am-7pm), an ASAP start and potential for extension. You will also work with a technical mentor to assist in gaining familiarity with organisational best practice, and to grow enterprise level technical knowledge and skills.
