This is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to establish high standards of practice in medical professionals for women’s health. It is the lead standards body in women’s health in Australia and New Zealand, with responsibility for postgraduate education, accreditation, recertification, and the continuing professional development of practitioners in women’s health.

Your new role

The key purpose of the position is to oversee the IT operations team to ensure that information technology enables the College to achieve its strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the IT operations team and develop IT operations, systems, policies, guidelines, documentation and process improvement capabilities
• Provide effective leadership to the IT operations team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Develop and lead the technology strategy and provide technical guidance to drive operational efficiencies
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and systems
• Ensure the security and integrity of data, systems, and networks through the implementation of robust cybersecurity measures, documentation, training and policies
• Oversee the end-to-end delivery of IT operations projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet stakeholder expectations
• Manage the IT operations budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with organisational goals. Monitor and control expenses related to IT operation projects, hardware, software, vendors and services.
• Oversee the design and implementation of systems and software training for staff, including induction training for all new staff in collaboration with the Human Resources team
• Provide technical support and advice to stakeholders
• Analyse and on key IT helpdesk metrics to enable effective decision-making and process improvement

What you’ll need to succeed

• Tertiary level qualification in Information Technology
• ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management Practitioner Certificate and Prince2 or PMBOK
• Experience of a minimum of 3 years in a similar role
• Proven people leader, with experience of building and leading a team through change.
• Strong communication skills. To communicate up to CIO level.
• Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques, ServiceNow, Microsoft Windows, Office 365
