My client are a national financial services company who specialise in providing services for emergency services and healthcare workers. Located in the Melbourne CBD, they are currently on the lookout for a Financial Accounting Manager or Senior Financial Accountant to join their team in the Melbourne CBD.

Your new role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:

• Managing the completion of all month end journals, board reports and reconciliations in line with the end of month reporting timetable.
• Managing the completion of all monthly treasury reporting requirements.
• Accurate completion of all APRA, RBA and BAS returns by required dates.
• Assist in budget preparation and ad hoc analysis as required.
• Act as back up for both Treasury and Accounting functions when required.
• Continuous improvement of existing procedures- process automation.
• To participate effectively in projects- as advised by your manager.
• To provide outstanding services to all stakeholders (both internal and external).

What you’ll need to succeed

• Finance related degree with a completed CA/CPA.
• Around 5 years’ experience in a Medium sized corporate business environment.
• Reporting Experience.
• Working knowledge of GST taxation.
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel.
