This North Queensland based group operate within hospitality & entertainment and are in a constant stage of growth with recent redevelopments and future projects underway.

Your new role

Your role will be diverse, hands-on, and pivotal in the management of the financial operations of multiple business units. You will be a key pillar in supporting the CEO, and on a day-to-day basis your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Ensuring accurate and timely lodgement of all reporting and statutory requirements
• Provide management reporting and analysis including monthly accounts, budgets, revenue analysis and cashflow forecasts
• Monitor results against budgets and forecasts and advise
• Develop and manage procedures for efficient cash-flow operations as well as performance management systems
• Provide information and liaise with internal and external stakeholders
• Provide advisory support for special projects
• Lead and manage the finance team

As an integral leader, your role will also be critical in supporting the strategic business direction. This includes identifying and implementing systems and policies to aid a strong customer experience and business growth.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful for this position you will ideally be a CA or CPA qualified accountant with strong commercial acumen and demonstrated experience in a leadership role. You will also need to demonstrate the following;

• Highly developed knowledge in financial accounting standards
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team
• Experience in the hospitality industry will be highly regarded, however not required
