Your new role

The primary purpose of this role is to empower educators by synthesising and presenting data in an intuitive manner. The role fits within the Learning and Teaching team and is core to the strategic priority of delivering evidence-based teaching to students. You will be required to draw on your expertise to collect, interpret, and present data to the teaching staff in an intuitive way.

Responsibilities include:

• Provisioning leadership with easily accessible data, through dashboard and bespoke data sets where needed
• Managing multiple databases to facilitate seamless provision of data to educators
• Creating systems to facilitate effortless collection of data from educators, administration, and existing data systems
• Managing efficient synthesis of data sets to track student welfare and academic performance
• Developing custom Microsoft SQL
• Exporting, validating, and maintaining data from various sources for the purposes of ongoing student reporting (Schoolbox, Synergetic and NAPLAN for example)

What you’ll need to succeed

• Experience in developing custom SQL scripts / procedures / queries
• Thorough understanding of MySQL and Microsoft Excel advanced features
• Strong experience across Microsoft Office 365, including Power Automate
• Experience in managing data warehouses
• Experience in creating dashboards or other visual data interfaces

What you’ll get in return

• Permanent part time role – 30 hours per week (less can be negotiated)
• Approximately 12 weeks paid holiday leave per annum
• Salary of $69,000 – $79,000 + Super (Pro rata)
