Hays has partnered with a leading organisation in the Financial Services sector. They are now seeking a Data Analyst to join their growing team. This is an exciting role which incorporates both Finance and IT.

Your new role

In your new role as the Data Analyst you will be responsible for report development to facilitate meaningful and actionable insights for the entire corporate group.

Some core duties will include:

• Engage with the organisations corporate users to understand their needs, creating relevant reports and effective analytical solutions
• Contribute to analytics engineering development work
• Develop and maintain an effective and high-quality data visualisation dashboard
• Provide solutions which will support stakeholder decision-making
• Identify, analyse, and interpret trends and patterns which relate to key performance

What you’ll need to succeed

As the Data Analyst you will need to have a set of skills which will allow you to be successful in the role.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Technically skilled in SQL writing and experience with SQL queries
• Proficient with Google Chrome Platform (BigQuery, Google Data Studio, Looker), or other data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik)
• Power BI proficiency is essential
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience specific to IT, statistics, accounting, and financial analysis
• Strong communication skills
