This manufacturing company supplies to a wide range of well-known brands and retailers across the world, who are currently seeking a Customer Claims Accounting Officer to assess the validity and accuracy of customers claims, carry out reconciliation of customer claims accounts and chase up outstanding receivables invoices.

Your new role

Reporting to the Credit Manager, this role will be responsible for a wide range of tasks including:

• Liaising with sales team to confirm the accuracy of customer claims
• Assessing the validity of customer claims and communicating this information with customer
• Ensuring claims get correctly processed in a timely manner
• Correctly and accurately processing claims against open invoices in order to remove the receivables ledger
• Consistent communication with the Finance Team based on account reconciliation and defining resolving any anomalies
• Reducing outstanding debts
• Discussing and reporting customers claims with the Sales Team and discussing credit-related tasks with the Credit Manager
• Assisting with other general finance administration tasks when required

What you’ll need to succeed

In order to be successful within this role, it is important that you display the following:

• Previous experience in Accounts Receivable or in a similar role
• Degree in Accounting
• High Excel skills
• Experience using SAP Business One/ERP is desirable
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Customer service experience
