Based on the Sunshine Coast they are very successful in central QLD and offer the perfect platform for a well-regarded Accountant to further their career into a more senior role. With plans for growth during these boom times this an exciting role.

Your new role

• Reconcile accounting system and job management system to ensure all job costs accurately recorded

• P&L and Balance Sheet Reconciliations and variance analysis

• Prepare budgets and forecasts
• Cash flow management (including scenario analysis)
• Improve efficiencies across the business
• Debt management and collection
• Review new tenders prior to submission to client
• Supervise and assist with company payroll, including payroll tax and superannuation payments
• Manage all tax and compliance lodgements with accounting firm
• Manage Q Leave, Workcover and TPAR lodgements
• Assist in quarterly and annual financial review and target setting for the organisation
• Maintain and increase property portfolio
• Using data analytics to help identify any opportunities and support stakeholders in their decision making of their respective areas.
• Manage external stakeholder relationships with bank, insurance broker, business coach, accountant, lawyer, and property managers.
• Understand all related entities and how they fit into wealth strategies
• Offer guidance to CFO of related entities where required

What you’ll need to succeed

• Previous experience as a Financial Controller or CFO
• High attention to detail and ability to identify data patterns or trends
• Proven systems experience and confidence to work through the system without assistance (Xero and Procore ideally)
• Construction experience would be an advantage
• Exceptional verbal and great written communication skills
• An expert in business growth, cash flow management and capital raising
• A natural problem solver, resilient with the ability to improve processes in the finance function
• Someone who likes to see others succeed and will help them achieve success.
