Your new role

Reporting to the Manager, Finance, this diverse role will include but is not limited to:

• Calculate and process tuition fees and other charges for local and international students on a timely basis
• Be the first point of contact for all students, parents, and other debtors regarding payment of accounts
• Undertake banking and receipting
• Undertake credit control including sending out statements each month, monitoring outstanding fees and contacting debtors on a regular basis to ensure fees are paid within acceptable timeframes.
• Process application and enrolment fees and address any other fee queries from prospective parents
• Manage School Card enquiries and applications and process any approved credits
• Be responsible for accounts payable including checking and processing creditor invoices, ensuring expenditure is within delegation limits, has been properly authorised and does not exceed budget
• Monitor accounting records for accuracy and ensure that internal controls are appropriate, and that staff adhere to those controls
• Assist the Finance Manager to prepare budgets and long-range plans
• Assist the Finance Manager to prepare month end reports and quarterly management reports
• Assist Deans and Faculty co-ordinators with budget and expenditures queries
• Liaise with College auditors and prepare and provide accurate information and assist with the interim and final audits

What you’ll need to succeed

You’ll be a Finance professional with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, reflecting confidence in working with students, staff, parents and the wider community. You’ll have proven working experience in the education industry or similar and you will possess strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and multi-task. You’ll be deadline driven without compromising on quality and take pride in your work. Experience using Synergetic will be looked upon favourably.
