Haynes International Hiring for Machine Operator at Arcadia, LA Full Time

The Machine Specialist is responsible for operating the pilger mill to reduce to tube size, by setting proper specifications torun machine in accordance to the parameters identified in the routing cards. They must be able to operate any/all equipment (Overhead cranes, forklifts and carts) that will be necessary to move material within the department; perform lock out tag out as required; perform maintenance pm’s prior to operating equipment. Must record daily downtown, log books, vorne board, and other daily operating records.

The pilger operator occasionally lifts pieces of tubing that range in length from 15’ to 45’. They are lifted to a portable band saw to cut tubing. Various small tools are used that weigh less than 5 lbs. and they include ratchets, allen wrenches, impact wrenches, and pipe wrenches.

Must be willing to work different shifts and different scheduled hours when necessary.

**Qualifications:**

• Must be able to read a tape measure.

• Must be able to perform basic mathematics.

• Must have a GED or high school diploma.

• Machine Setups for Production Runs
• Blueprint Reading
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Shop Math Skills
• Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
