Hawthorne Distribution, Inc Hiring for Accounting officer Job at Vernon, CA Full Time

Established e-Commerce center seeking a skilled and experienced accountant to perform a wide variety of accounting functions including preparation of journal entries, accruals, cash and credit card reconciliations, month-end closing processes and reports, year-end schedules and reports, and quarterly and annual taxes.

Basic Job Scope:

• Inter-company accounting
• Accounts Payable from receiving the invoice to processing payment
• Accounts Receivable from billing to collection
• Payroll
• Inventory and Fixed Assets
• Federal, State and Local Taxes
• Ensure accuracy of entries into the system and that appropriate documents support all transactions.
• Reconcile GL accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Provide timely response to requests for information/analyses from senior management.
• Performs other duties as required to support the Accounting department.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• At least five years of experience in full-cycle accounting preferred
• At least two years in warehousing accounting preferred
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise
• Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Advance Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.)
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to interact with employees, clients and vendors in a professional manner
• Contribute to building a positive and collaborative work environment
• Must be detail-oriented, well-organized and exercise sound judgement

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work extensively in an office environment
• May be in a stationary position for long periods of time up to 8 hours a day
• Use Computer and keyboard up to 8 hours a day
• Occasional lifting, bending, stooping up to 35 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $70,000.00 per year
