Law Firm Accounting Assistant

This position is full-time and provides support to the Accounting Department. The primary duty is to assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable for the law firm. Duties include, but are not limited to:

Accounts Receivable

• Deposit payments from clients;
• Process credit card payments;
• Create spreadsheets distributing fees and costs;
• Update accounting software regarding payments

Accounts Payable

• Pay firm invoices;
• Cut checks for firm expenses;
• Update accounting software regarding invoices;
• Assist with billing

General

• Act as backup to the Director of Accounting;
• Provide general office support regarding all matters related to the firm’s accounting

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
• Excellent communicator;
• Ability to work on a team;
• Preferred: accounting or bookkeeping experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
