Hawaiian Host Group Hiring for Logistics Coordinator at Honolulu, HI Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY:

• The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating shipments, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining strong relationships with carriers, suppliers, and internal partners. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask are essential to this role and our team’s success.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Manages activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking of shipments to ensure on-time pickup and delivery of customer and inter-company freight.
• Communicates shipment delays to the sales department and plans for expedited deliveries as needed.
• Collects carrier and 3PL invoices, assigns GL codes, and logs invoice totals.
• Communicates billing discrepancies to vendors and accounting for resolution.
• Tracks and s KPI’s such as on-time performance to customers for our internal teams.
• Partners with accounting to reviews and respond to claims from customers and carriers.
• Request and negotiate freight rates with trucking partners to manage landed cost of customer orders.
• Performs other duties as assigned or directed by Supervisor.
• Regular attendance is required for the position.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Associate degree with emphasis in Business or related field or equivalent work experience.
• At least one (1) year of data entry and dispatching related experience.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite, preferably with Office 365.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Good verbal, written and telephone communication skills.
