Hawaiian Dredging Construction Company Inc Hiring for OAHU-LOGISTICS MANAGER at Honolulu, HI Full Time

The Logistics Manager will coordinate all marine movements from the mainland to Pearl Harbor as well as land-side logistical movements.

Primary Functions & Responsibilities:

• Engage with multiple freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, parcel couriers, and internal distribution centers to ensure smooth and timely deliveries.

• Ensure delivery of equipment and construction material

• Coordinate transportation of staff and craft to project site.

• Manage parking logs to ensure worker accessibility.

• Gather and assemble related paperwork for shipments.

• Track shipment quality data from origin to end delivery.

• Develop, recommend, and implement changes to existing procedures to ensure continual improvement in the areas of cost, time, service, and quality.

• Organizes, Coordinates and schedules daily operational activities, to include planning, distributing, monitoring, and follow-up of daily route assignments to ensure equipment and materials are delivered timely.

• Ability to solve problems within scope of responsibility and identify issues in advance to prevent problems from occurring.

• Maintains accurate and timely personnel, cost, and operating records and s.

• Performs all other related tasks as required.

Knowledge & Skills Used:

• Proficient in the use of 365 Office (Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook) and Adobe

• Ability to solve problems within scope of responsibility and identify issues in advance to prevent problems from occurring.

• Demonstrated ability to work and negotiate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, computer skills and analytical skills.

• Knowledge of marine and logistics operations.

• Knowledge of workplace safety and accident prevention regulations.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics/business or related field or equivalent work experience.

• Minimum 10 years’ experience coordinating moving, shipment and delivery of construction equipment, construction materials, coordinating movement of marine equipment.

Starting Salary: $60,000.00/year
