Lecturer Adjunct (Physical Education Lecturer) Liberal Arts Instructor (Part-Time) Looking for a part-time job? Interested in teaching international students? Hawaii Tokai International College (HTIC) is looking for qualified instructors to teach courses in the following courses: HPER Lecturer HPER 102 (1 credit) Aerobic Fitness: Beginning HPER 104 (1 credit) Pilates HPER 150 (1 credit) Introduction to Dance HEPR 170 (1 credit) Beginning Yoga We are seeking instructors who are interested in engaging with international students in activities that contribute to their educational and personal growth and develop HTIC as a quality school. Job Responsibilities: 1.

Develop an active learning environment that combines lectures, exercises, and field trips. 2. Consult and work with students in groups and individually. 3.

Compile, administer, and grade exams and papers. 4. Prepare, conduct, assess, and report student/class results. 5.

Adhere to requirements of incorporating specific objectives and course outcomes for all classes taught in-line with institutional outcomes and mission. 6. Provide students with research assistance and instruction on the use of computers, the Internet, and subject-specific materials during classroom instruction and one-on-one guidance. 7.

Create a learning community in respect to multilingualism and multiculturalism. Qualifications: 1. Master’s degree in content area from an regionally accredited college or university at the time of appointment, or a master’s degree in a different content area with 18 upper and graduate-level credit hours in the subject to be taught. 2.

Minimum of one year of previous college-level teaching experience. Previous teaching courses online, preferred. 3. Able to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing within the English language.

4. Knowledge of teaching/learning psychology and methods. 5. Intermediate skills in MicroSoft software programs: i.e.

MS Word and MS Excel and familiar in using Google applications. 6. Must be detailed-oriented and accurate. 7.

Self-motivated and have a strong desire to pursue and disseminate knowledge. Location: Kapolei, HI (required) Working Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (hours may vary between 8:30 AM to 3:20 PM) Other Information: 1. HTIC does not provide any travel assistance package. 2.
