Role

The role would be overseeing IT operations and maintenance in the bank, stepping in to help users with problems as and when required. This is a varied role crossing general IT operations of the bank’s core systems.

Key skills

• Assist the Head of IT in formulating / testing / implementation of computer department procedures and systems
• Daily procedures including: start and end of day routines

• Good understanding of financial services software (including core banking system, SWIFT, and regulatory reporting)
• Practical knowledge, including installation and configuration, of virtual environments, servers, and desktop PCs
• Practical knowledge of db and email servers
• General IT support / systems analysis
• Good aptitude for problem solving and ability to think “Outside of the box”
• Understanding of Disaster Recovery and Cyber-Security procedures
• Previous experience of working in a banking environment
