Job Summary:
Bi-lingual, full time safety trainer to conduct health and safety trainings in both English and Spanish. Responsibilities encompass supporting and contributing to a successful Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) team. This role will assist in delivering and facilitating structured environmental, safety and health, regulatory, corporate training and development programs and initiatives in support of the companies training plan, objectives, and goals. They will ensure development and delivery of high quality, innovative and engaging training programs, while maintaining accurate and timely training records and reports. Prepare and teach instructional programs in accordance with training and other course requirements and assembling materials to be presented.

Job Responsibilities:

• Teach and instruct EH&S courses in many subjects, including hands on performance profiles. Help to develop and deliver accredited and inhouse Health and Safety Training.
• Conducting training courses at our inhouse training location but also required to deliver training offsite and on constructions sites.

• Organize and coordinate environmental health and safety training programs including the date, time, location, and duration of training events with attendees.

• Train and educate new and existing employees including subcontractor employees when needed or required.

• Working with HR and Training Manager to coordinate new hire drug testing, and new hire orientation programs.
• Prepare instructional programs and documents in English and Spanish and instruct trainees in theoretical and practical aspects covering the subjects being taught.
• Test trainees to evaluate their learning progress and evaluate the effectiveness of instruction.
• Maintain a quality and accurate training record database in our dedicated Learning Management System. Develops, prepares, and maintains safety and training related records, reports, and other correspondence.
• Ability to interpret and apply (in both English and Spanish) Haselden Construction Environmental, Health & Safety Guidelines and policy.
• Participate at all levels in developing and conducting safety training (in both English and Spanish). This includes, new hire orientations, equipment training certifications, first aid CPR, OSHA 30 training and other training initiatives as needed.

• Communicate with management to provide reports on required training and training progress when requested.
• Order workbooks and additional training materials required for training programs as required by the training manager.

• Conducts training to ensure employees safely operate vehicles, construction equipment and construction tools.
• Develop and edit safety training videos. Used for employee training, lessons learned opportunities.
• Collects complies, and assesses data related to safety inspections, accidents, and trends.
• Perform additional assignments as requested by the EH&S Team (in both English and Spanish).
• Perform additional assignments as requested by the Director of EH&S (in both English and Spanish).
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to travel and work and jobsites throughout the state of Colorado, on occasion in Nebraska and Wyoming region.

• Speak, read, and write fluently in both English and Spanish.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5 years related safety experience and or training. Construction experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret and present technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form (in both English and Spanish).
• Problem solving and critical thinking.
• Ability to define problems, collect and collate data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Complete knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Video editing skills preferred.
• Valid Colorado Driver s License.
• Pass a background check and MVR requirement
• Ability work at elevations, operate heavy equipment, use hand tools, power tools, climb ladders, use scaffolding, wear fall protection and work in inclement weather at times.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals and legal documents.
• Ability to effectively present information to the project team, senior management and groups of subcontractors or employees of the organization.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts; in high, precarious places; and in outside weather conditions and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally high. The individual will have to have the ability to climb ladders, walk up many flights of stairs, be able to access roof systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual- English and Spanish.
• Up to 3 years of related experience is preferred.
• Construction field experience preferred.
• OSHA certifications preferred.
• OSHA 500 Instructor preferred but not required.
• Experience with first aid and CPR training preferred.
• Equipment operator training preferred.

Salary:
The salary range for this position is $60,000- $70,000 per year. Salary to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities. Haselden does not discriminate based upon any protected category with respect to the payment of wages.
