Hasbro Pacific has an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join our Finance team in Sydney!

In this role, you will assist the Finance Managers (for Accounting and Planning) with the timely preparation, consolidation, and accurate reporting of Operations/Business KPIs, monthly management reports, budgets and forecast plans and analysis.

As an Accountant you will:

• Assist with the submission of the month-end close of P&L.
• Month-end journals (including but not limited to accruals and prepayments of people related costs and intercompany recharges).
• Ensure timely preparation of P&L reporting after every month-end close.
• Preparation of the month-end and quarterly management reporting package.
• Assist with the preparation of the full P&L and Balance Sheet for annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Work with the functional managers within the business in preparation of the budgeting and forecasting across several areas.
• Prepare timely P&L and overhead variance analysis of the latest forecast/budget.
• Assist with the preparation of the quarterly Business Review book, with emphasis on P&L and overhead related pages.
• Submit forecast/budget P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Act as back-up or secondary support to other Finance team members when needed.
• Co-approve and release AP payments for the Pacific region.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• 5+ years’ experience in management and financial accounting.
• Qualified Accountant (CA, CPA or CIMA).
• Thorough understanding of management reporting and variance analysis systems and process.
• Comprehensive analytical skills.
• High proficiency in MS Excel/Access (required).
• Experience with SAP (required).
• Team player with high energy and a self-starter who displays a “can-do” pro-active style.
• Strong communication (verbal and written) and attention to detail is critical.
• Relevant work experience working within FMCG (desirable).
