Harwood Tutors is seeking to disrupt tutoring by giving tutors the freedom to work from anywhere, never plan lessons, never mark work, and choose their own working hours.

We use adaptive assessments to create personalised learning paths in Math, Language and Reading. All lessons are 1-to-1 and have in-house interactive lessons and mastery quizzes to demonstrate progress. We are seeking tutors that want earn £20 per hour to tutor students in the Middle East (and globally).

Online Tutor Responsibilities:

• Invigilates adaptive assessments and submits scores to management

• Educates parents on the current status of their child’s development and the next steps necessary to succeed

• Contributes to student learning, growth, and advancement by following a personalised learning path

• Maintains a growth mindset toward student learning and teaching practice.

• Serves as a role-model for students.

• Collaborates effectively with parents and the organisation to increase student performance.

• Invests in the learners’ well-being, health, and safety, physically, socially, and emotionally.

• Engages students in high-level cognitive activity.

• Schedules tutoring appointments with parents and students and arrive on time and prepared for the day’s lesson

• Establishes a friendly, encouraging, and welcoming online environment for students

Qualifications for Tutor:

• Top Grade in Mathematics or English in SATs, AP, or A-Level

• Working towards a relevant bachelor’s degree is essential

• Completed a relevant bachelor’s degree is desirable

• Passion and excitement for the subject being taught

• Professional experience using personalised instruction

• An expert in using educational technology safely

• Experience working with children online

• Education in teaching methodology, theory, and processes

• Theoretical and practical understanding of the subject to be taught

• Personal accountability and reliability when scheduling sessions with parents and students

• Ability to teach students of all ages at varying levels of understanding and proficiency

Work Hours and Benefits:

Harwood Tutors offers a standard rate of £20 per hour for all tutors, work from practically anywhere, work as much or little as you would like, we identify the precise skills and knowledge and the current level of challenge for your student and have prepared interactive lessons in which you only need to step in if the student struggles. No marking, no planning, and no preparing tests. Just turn up to the lesson with a great attitude and your expert knowledge of subject and pedagogy.
