We are looking for an accountant with a minimum of one year relevant work experience to join our CPA firm located in the Southpoint area of Jacksonville, Florida. Position Description

This position involves the following activities:

• Preparing federal and state income tax returns for business and individuals
• Preparing monthly sales tax returns
• Entering accounting transactions and reconciling accounts in order to prepare financials for clients
• Preparing quarterly and year end payroll returns
• Assisting with compilations of financial statements

A successful accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of federal taxation. This position allows you to manage a client base enabling you to experience the full range of activities and responsibilities that are absent in larger public accounting firms.

Skills

• Knowledge or willingness to learn aspects of business and individual taxation
• Experience with QuickBooks accounting software package is a plus
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
• Be able to effectively interact with clients to obtain financial information
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Accuracy and attention to detail

• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
• BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant training
• Relevant certification (CPA or EA) will be preferred

• Working experience with Thomson Reuters tax and accounting products is preferred

We are sincere about providing a work life balance. You will work three days a week remotely from your home and the other two days at our Jacksonville or Jacksonville Beach office. You have flexibility in determining your daily work schedule. Our busy season is 45 to 50 hours per week with the rest of the year being 40 hours weekly. There is no travel outside of the greater Jacksonville area. We focus on producing results for our clients instead of simply logging hours. We have a family atmosphere without the drama or the weird relative who came to Thanksgiving. Our team of professionals assist one another to help everyone to learn and be more productive.

Business Development Program Bonus

In addition to a competitive salary we offer a financial incentive program to all employees who obtain eligible clients for our firm. This incentive is recurring for every year a client is retained.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
