Accountant Position Description

We are sincere about providing a work life balance. You will work three days a week remotely from your home and the other two days at our Jacksonville or Jacksonville
Beach office. You have flexibility in determining your daily work schedule. Our busy season is 45 to 50 hours per week with the rest of the year being 40 hours weekly. Our accountants work hard, are accurate and fast, and love to be proud of their work.

Requirements

We are looking for an accountant/bookkeeper with a minimum of one year relevant work experience to join our CPA firm located in the Southpoint area of Jacksonville, Florida.

Position Description

This position involves the following activities:

• Recording accounting transactions in QuickBooks (online and desktop versions) for various clients.
• Preparing monthly sales tax returns
• Preparing quarterly and year end payroll returns
• Assisting tax preparers to provide accurate financial statements to prepare corporate and state tax returns.

A successful accountant/bookkeeper combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough understanding of recording transactions and properly reconciling accounts.
This position allows you to take care of the accounting and bookkeeping needs of numerous clients.

Skills

• Experience with QuickBooks accounting software desktop and online
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
• Understanding of accounting and bookkeeping concepts
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
• BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant training
