Hart Plain Junior School is a two form entry junior school with an excellent reading culture. The school is a community of readers as noted in our most recent Ofsted report. This is an exciting time to take on the role of Librarian at Hart Plain Junior School as we begin to refurbish our school library. We are seeking to appoint a Librarian with a passion for children’s literature and a love of reading, who can support our goal of instilling a life-long love of reading for all the pupils we teach.

The successful applicant will manage the school library and will inspire a love of reading through the organisation of library related activities and events, for example arranging author visits. They will also develop a team of pupil librarians so that the library can run efficiently throughout the week.
