Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust Hiring for Senior HR Advisor – North East Locality at Ashington Full Time

The role is part time (18.75 hours per week), however it is expected that the postholder will provide cover across the full week. The post will be based in Northumberland (location flexible). This role is permanent.

The postholder will work within the operational HR team which is tasked with ensuring that the strategic and operational HR agenda is effectively delivered within allocated resources.

Interviews will take place on Friday 17th December. Candidates will be expected to do a presentation as part of the selection process, details of which will be sent to applicants who successfully pass the shortlisting stage of the process.

Working with the HR Team, within a pooled resource model, to deliver and maintain HR services across the organisation whilst ensuring that workloads and competing priorities are managed effectively.

Main responsibilities will include:

• To communicate complex and sensitive issues on a regular basis and they will often have to communicate information in large group settings.
• To act autonomously and with limited supervision to provide professional Human Resources and support on a range of issues involving increasing levels of complexity, including attendance management, disciplinary, grievance, bullying and harassment and staff performance and conduct issues.
• To lead on complex investigations into bullying and harassment, disciplinary issues and grievances and provide coaching and support to managers involved in the process.
• To deliver a range of other employee relations services including but not limited to the interpretation of employment legislation, change management and organisational development.
• To provide support, advice and guidance to the HR Advisor and HR Officer and to be involved in their supervision, appraisal and development where required.
