Ideal Candidate: We would like to employ a Trainee Accountant to join our exciting, skilled and developing Dealership Finance Team.

The position will suit a school leaver who would like to pursue a career in accountancy at a basic to intermediate level and ideally has commenced some AAT training. Responsibilities: To work alongside our Senior Accounts Assistant and report to our Group Accountants, you will support the Dealerships Accounting Team in providing daily financial controls, reporting and compliance. The core duties will include the following, but will evolve and widen as the individual develops in line with our business aspirations and requirements: – Purchase Ledger Register supplier invoices onto computer system for Departmental Managers authorisation. Process approved documents and file in a timely and efficient manner for future reference. Reconcile key accounts to supplier statements on a monthly basis and produce pay run. Reconcile manufacturer’s accounts and investigate any differences. Sales Ledger Process daily banking and ensure all associated nominal / sales ledger accounts are reconciled and cleared down on a daily basis. Provide Credit Control function in all aspects of credit management. Reconcile vehicle debtor’s ledger and investigate ALL payment queries. General Assist in developing ‘best practices’ of control and process. Assist Dealership Staff in any other duties that maybe required throughout the financial year. In particular, collating financial information required at short notice.

Key Skills & Requirements Double-entry accounting knowledge would be preferred. Working knowledge of Excel (much reporting is in excel format). Experience using an in-house accounting system useful. Can demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail whilst working to strict deadlines. Able to communicate confidently with internal and external customers, in person or via the phone. Competent time management skills and able to multi-task. Eager to learn and has a ‘can-do’ approach to problem-solving. Would suit individual whom is studying or completed AAT, or whom is looking to undertake ACCA, CIMA or equivalent Professional Accounting Qualification. Well-presented and able to promote the company and brand values. This position will suit a candidate who is or would like to pursue a career in accounting and will provide a broad introduction to the accounting environment. **Strictly no Agencies**

Salary between £13k and £17k dependent upon qualifications and experience

Holiday 20 days pro rata per annum

Study Support towards professional qualification

37.5 Hour Week Monday to Friday
