This is a 1099 Contract Position

$25-$40/hr + Commission

Local Tax and Accounting Business is seeking an Accountant to work with new and existing clients. A successful candidate will hold their CPA designation and be able to take designated tasks from start to finish with minimal guidance.

This is a remote position

(Optional) Candidate acquires new clients for the practice for which they will receive a quarterly commission for the first year of that new client (tax and accounting clients).

Tasks to be performed

Recurring monthly book work for several small businesses.

Sales tax filings

Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled with backup

Tax plans

Budgets

Prepare tax returns (individual and business)

Streamline clients QuickBooks (create rules, integrate bill paying, link bank accounts, etc)

Required Skills

Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Intuit ProConnect, Microsoft Suite

Individual must posses strong communication skills as they will be expected to work directly with clients

Solid knowledge of creating, understanding, and interpreting financial statements.

Experience

7-10 years required (preferably in a public accounting setting)

Bachelor’s Degree (MBA preferred)

Pay: $25.00 – $40.00 per hour
