Job Description:

Hanwha Group displays diverse portfolios of businesses ranging from Solar/renewable energy and defense to Aerospace. With the recent acquisition of DSME (Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, renamed Hanwha Ocean now), the global shipbuilder, we are poised to leverage its platform and core capabilities to expedite the green energy transition, integrating it with our LNG value chain.

Shipbuilding and Shipping Business

As a representative of our overseas corporation (US/EU respectively) within the shipbuilding and shipping industry, your primary responsibility will be to establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners in the designated regions. Your role is crucial in promoting our company’s interests and expanding our presence globally.

Offshore Business:

As a representative of our overseas corporation (US/EU respectively) within the energy industry, your primary responsibility is to establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, especially major IOC (International Oil Company) clients such as Total, ExxonMobil, Shell, Equinor, Chevron, BP, and business partners in the designated regions. You will promote our products and services available for conventional Oil and gas offshore projects such as deep-water drilling, production facilities, and renewable energy projects including Offshore Wind, Hydrogen, Ammonia, and Carbon Capture and storage facilities which may be further expanded to lease and operation of such facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management:

• Cultivate and nurture relationships with various layer/level of client personnel from major IOCs and business partners in the US/EU region.
• Focus on fostering executive—to—upper—level relationships for purposes of business development, expansion, issue resolution, knowledge sharing, and strategic initiatives
• Identify new business opportunities and potential clients within the overseas offshore energy market

Market Research and Analysis:

• Conduct thorough market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in the US/EU region.
• Analyze market dynamics to provide strategic insights for decision-making
• Monitor and evaluate tender/proposal results for the strategic accounts and market share within the region

Business Development:

• Focus on critical success factors for driving revenue, and profitability with identified strategic clients across all product lines
• Identify, develop, and execute opportunities for organic growth within the global operating regions relative to the strategic account’s activity
• Develop and implement strategies to expand the company’s market share and to create further businesses in the offshore energy sector
• Ensure clearly aligned growth strategies are in place across each region/country for targeted accounts
• Collaborate with internal teams to tailor products/services to meet the specific needs of the offshore energy market and to deliver enhanced brand equity and customer awareness, contact & Agreement Negotiation
• Lead negotiations for contracts, agreements, and partnerships, ensuring favorable terms for the company
• Work closely with legal and finance teams to finalize contractual arrangements

Representation at Industry Events:

• Attend conferences, exhibitions, and industry events to represent the company and build a strong network
• Showcase company capabilities and contribute to thought leadership within the industry

Communication and ing:

• Regularly communicate with headquarters to provide updates on market developments and performance
• Prepare detailed s on market trends, client feedback, and business performance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Proven experience in a similar role within the energy sector, oil & gas, and renewable energy businesses
• Competence in decision-making to evaluate a business situation such as client’s needs, global trends, and the status/aim of the company
• Strong understanding of international business practices and cultural nuances
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel extensively for business purposes

Work Authorization:

The ideal candidate for this role will have authorization to work in the US prior to joining Hanwha. This role will not sponsor or offer assistance with the sponsorship of work authorization in the United States.
