Assistant Accountant

You will be responsible for the following:

• Facets of the day-to-day accounting operation including AP/AR/General Journals and Bank Reconciliations.
• Managing purchase orders and maintenance of the PO register.
• Fixed Asset Management and reporting.
• Cash management (bank reconciliations, cashflow forecasts).
• Scheduling your own workload around financial reporting and lodgement commitments.
• Supporting external audit requirements within your remit.
• Verifying that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
• Other ad-hoc finance and administrative duties.

Our ideal person:

• 2+ years’ experience in similar accounting roles.
• Significant exposure to ERPs, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Tech sector experience is preferred but not essential
• Ability to work with co-workers outside of the finance function and to hold stakeholders accountable for their deliverables
• Passionate and energetic with a can-do attitude
• Ability to multi-task and excellent eye for detail
• Adaptive to a changing and flexible work environment
