Hanover Hiring for HR & TALENT ADVISOR Job at London, England Full Time

We are looking for a HR & Talent Advisor to play an important role as part of the central Talent team for the Hanover Group.
ROLE OVERVIEW
They will provide Talent/HR advisory and support across the Hanover Group offices in London, Brussels, Dublin, and the Middle East.
Responsibilities will include recruitment, training, internal events & activities, employer branding, onboarding & offboarding, and ad hoc generalist HR tasks.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment
- Discuss hiring requirements with managers/team leads (with sign off from the FD), oversee the process end to end from shortlisting applicants, organizing interviews utilising the recruitment platform, Workable, and making candidates offers
- Updating Workable with interview feedback and provide a timely response to all applicants to ensure the process progresses
Employee Engagement, Internal Comms & Company Culture
- Lead on internal company team building and Culture Club activities in line with overarching pillars, ensuring activity throughout the year is in line with budgets
- Drive forward employer branding objectives including developing content for social media channels, working closely with the Marketing team on events and other activity
- Manage the internal cross-team buddy programme
- Work with the Talent Assistant on organizing CSR/volunteering initiatives to offer across the business
- Take part in the DEI network meetings and activity, driving forward actions for existing workstreams, co-lead of the mental health workstream
Learning & Development
- In line with the talent strategy map out training sessions for the year across levels up to Senior Consultant
- Book training sessions and monitor responses as requested with support from Talent Assistant
- Keep accurate attendance records for each session
- Ensure the Talent Assistant collates feedback for all sessions, share with the Director of Talent and advise on changes to the programme where necessary
- Assist with the scheduling of the Company ‘Lunch & Learn’ programme
- Manage the overseas secondment plan
Intern Programme
- Oversee and support the Talent Assistant in maintaining the roster of interns across the teams ensuring we positions are filled ahead of time
- Coordinate and drive forward relationships with existing DEI partners including The Taylor Bennett Foundation, Social Mobility Foundation
- Work with teams to offer advice and finds solutions to hiring issues
- Ensure the Talent Assistant has collated references for each new intern ahead of their start date, and completed other new joiner paperwork
- Attend networking events with the Talent Assistant at a variety of schools, colleges, Universities and other graduate events to meet prospective candidates
- Work with the Talent Assistant to seek out new ways of advertising and attracting intern candidates
General Talent Responsibilities
- Ensure the HRIS, HiBob, is up to date with accurate data e.g. new joiners, promotions and support staff with any queries
- Work with Talent Assistant to ensure pre-employment references are collated for all staff and flagging any issues or discrepancies
- Coordinate employee benefits admin including healthcare insurance & pensions auto-enrolment, with the support of the Talent Assistant
- Undertake exit interviews as part of the offboarding process, flagging any concerns or making suggestions for improvements
- Deliver Talent inductions for new starters up to Senior Consultant level
- Oversee general staff correspondence letters e.g., probationary letters and ensure these are produced by the Talent Assistant in a timely manner
- Work with the Talent team to review and update job descriptions/core competencies and other documentation as required
- Support the Talent Assistant in providing updates on the Company Manuals for all offices London, Brussels, Dublin, and the Middle East – circulating updates round teams as required
Project Work
- Make recommendations for business improvement plans and take the lead on varied projects
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrable experience working as part of a team in an HR role
- Experience within an agency or consultancy environment strongly preferred
- A natural people person, who enjoys building relationships and contributing to social and cultural initiatives
- Good understanding and experience of the UK HR environment, practices, and procedures is essential, an understanding or experience of Belgian HR practices would be an advantage
- Advanced personal time management and organisation, ability to manage own workload effectively
- Excellent communications skills – both verbal and written
- Proven ability to build relationships across all levels
- Close attention to detail
- Impartiality and absolute discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information
- Passion for human resources and an understanding of its potential impact on business objectives
