Handi-House Hiring for Customer Service Representative at Ottawa, ON Full Time

Handi-House, a leader in the retailing of mobility aids and home health care, is seeking a full-time customer service representative who will interact with clients and answer phone messages.

We sell, service and rent walkers, wheelchairs and other home health care products. Knowledge of mobility aids is not essential. Training will be provided, and the successful candidate will work with a small team with significant potential for growth.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Answer client inquiries by phone, e-mail and in-person

· Greet and receive walk-in customers

· Receive new stock and build new equipment

· Process client orders for service and equipment

· Issue client billings

· Process third party billings

· Address overdue account balances and organize payment receivables

· Validate customer card information as required

· Prepare quotes as needed

Skills:

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing

· Bilingualism (French/English) considered an asset

· Strong initiative and ability to work proficiently in a team environment as well as independently

· Ability to time manage, remain organized and prioritize work

· Enthusiastic and dependable with keen willingness to learn and improve

· Commitment to deliver excellent internal and external customer service

Qualifications:

· Completion of Post-Secondary education in an administrative or related field of study

· Minimum 1 year experience with administrative procedures and office duties

· Minimum 1 year in a customer service role

· Proficient with Microsoft Office – including Excel, Word and Outlook

· Computer literacy is essential

· Knowledge of the Assistive Devices Program considered a strong asset

What We Offer

As a key member of our team, we will support you with comprehensive training, competitive salary, plus health benefits. Salary is based on experience and starts at $40,000 annual. Hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM. No evenings or weekend work.
