TITLE: Pre K-4 Principal / Director of Professional Learning and Staff Development
SALARY RANGE: $95,000-$105,000 (commensurate with preparation and experience)
ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM COMPOSITION: Superintendent of Schools; PreK-4 Principal/Director of Professional
Learning and Staff Development; 5-12 Principal; K-12 Psychologist/CSE Chair.
SPECIFICS: The Hancock Central School District is seeking a strong candidate to serve as Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 4 Principal/Director of Professional Learning and Staff Development with a child-centered orientation and a proven record of demonstrated instructional excellence as a teacher and/or administrator. Hancock Elementary School serves a diverse population of educators and learners with an enrollment of approximately 100 students guided by 15 instructional and non instructional staff members. As a District, Hancock enrolls 300 students with 60 teachers and paraprofessionals supporting implementation of its academic program. A diverse skill set including experience in building leadership, instructional leadership, professional learning, teacher evaluation (APPR), Next Generation Learning Standards (NGLS), instructional technology, Data Driven Instruction (DOI), staff supervision, teacher evaluation, Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) coordination/ implementation, organizational skills, and personnel and student management is required, as well as the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all school and community stakeholders. This is a tenure-track position.
Residency within the district is not required. NYS Administrative Certification (SDA, SOL, SAS, SBL), or eligible, is required.
STARTING DATE: July 1, 2022, or as soon after Board appointment as possible. Candidates will be interviewed until the vacancy is filled.
