Hall Chadwick Hiring for Senior Insolvency Accountant Job at Darwin Full Time

Primary Responsibilities

Completing investigations into an entity’s finances, including the analysis of financial statements, accounting records and company books;

• Maintaining and progression of formal insolvency files;
• Preparing formal correspondences to external stakeholders including creditors, financiers, shareholders and other third parties;
• Attending to stakeholder enquires over the telephone and in writing;
• Attending to litigious matters, including liaison with legal representatives over the telephone and in writing;
• Demonstrating a high standard of professional appearance and approach in dealing with clients;
• Mentoring and training of junior members of staff.

Skills and Experience

• Relevant job history – ideally 1 – 3 years’ of accounting experience;
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills;
• Accounting, finance or Commerce background;
• Strong investigation skills and a record of identifying problem transactions within accounting records;
• Experience with Australian insolvency legislation;
• Chartered Accountant Qualified or Part-Qualified (i.e. completing studies);

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills;
• Responsible, proactive and ability to take initiative;
• Willingness to mentor junior staff and build on team culture;
• Computer proficiencies in Excel, Word, Outlook and MYOB;
• Willingness to undertake further studies e.g. ARITA qualifications.
