Finance Manager

We are currently supporting our client, Nicola Harding & Co, with their recruitment of new a Finance Manager to join their close-knit, supportive team based out of their studio in Queens Park.

As the Finance Manager you will report directly to the owners and be responsible for accounting and forecasting all financial matters of the business to ensure its financial health, as well as management of the financial systems of the business.

The Finance Manager will need to report monthly on the financial health of the business and their projects. While running the systems, they should also be constantly evaluating procedures, both in terms of software and manual routines.

The individual ideally will have experience of working within an owner managed business, as well as possessing a meticulous attention to detail, excellent IT skills and strong knowledge of accounting systems and software.

The responsibilities and duties of the Finance Manager role will include;

• Processing bank reconciliations
• Processing payments
• Maintaining cash flow
• Project specific reporting and monitoring of profitability across projects
• Monthly sales invoicing
• Managing credit control
• Monthly reconciliations of all control accounts
• Processing quarterly VAT returns
• Processing monthly payroll
• Ensuring compliance with PAYE procedures, including auto-enrolment
• Producing monthly management accounts
• Producing annual statutory returns
• Processing year-end accounting procedures
• Regular review of supplier accounts
• Recruiting for the finance team and line managing junior staff members

Requirements

• Previous experience within a Finance Manager role
• Experience of working within an owner managed business
• Proficient with IT and software, including Xero

Qualifications

• Part qualified ACCA , CIMA or qualified by experience
