We have an opportunity for an IT Support Officer to join our small IT team supporting our facilities both onsite and remotely.

The Opportunity

The IT team is seeking a passionate and highly motivated IT Support Officer to provide first and second level hardware and software support to our users. Based in at our Forrestdale and Naval Base branches on a rotating roster, you will take ownership of the role and be supported by your colleagues in Sydney, Perth and Adelaide.

Reporting to the Group IT Manager you will be responsible for the following:

• Process requests via phone, ticketing system and email, providing first and second level support by analysing, troubleshooting and resolving requests for all application software, PC hardware and network related issues nationally
• Managing faulty, damaged or new computer hardware stock
• Perform basic Active Directory Administration
• Assist with maintaining the IT Asset Register
• Complete computer rebuilds and new deployments ensuring computer equipment is setup and ready for use before employee commencement
• Logging repair jobs with computer equipment suppliers and managing the onsite repair
• Ensure adherence to regulations and company policies and procedures to ensure compliance and standardisation

With a genuine passion for, and interest in the ICT sector, you will ideally have demonstrated experience in a Help Desk environment and possess skills covering:

• ITIL service management framework
• Networks (LAN/WAN) including some phone system handset or PABX experience
• Hardware installation including; Computers, Printers and hand-held devices
• Experience in in the support of a Microsoft Office suite including Office 365 environment, Adobe and Visio is highly desirable
• Analysis and trouble-shooting of Windows Desktop and Laptop issues, regular trends and the ability to provide effective solutions
• Ability to prioritises and escalate issues based on critical need
• Support and maintain the company’s workstations, photocopiers, printers and portable devices.
