GVI, Inc., a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking a Systems Engineer in Stafford, VA.This position will provide full spectrum lead system engineering support services to the MAGTAF Common Handheld (MCH) Program.
This support will encompass providing systems engineering oversight in the programs core areas of software development, cybersecurity, software integration, hardware assessment, logistics, and fielding & sustainment to ensure execution of technical requirements.
Position Responsibilities: At this level the systems engineer will serves as an expert and represents the Program Management Office (PMO) lead engineer. The work involves program technical development and/or oversight of Marine Corps (MC), Department of Navy (DON), and Department of Defense (DOD) programs. Although Project/Program Managers are responsible for the entire program, the systems engineer is responsible for the project meeting technical requirements, which includes participating in technical reviews. This level represents work of increased scope and complexity that impacts the efforts of other projects. The systems engineer will conduct a direct role in test planning and test engineering; requirements analysis; requirements verification; functional analysis; functional verification; synthesis; design verification; systems analysis; and systems control and the development and delivery of associated systems engineering artifacts. The systems engineer will coordinate the efforts of technical area experts who are available to assist with the technical aspects of the project and help address technical issues. Technical issues that cannot be resolved at the project level should be elevated to the PMO lead engineer and/or Competency Lead Engineer.
