GVF Group of Companies Hiring for Truck Loader at Cambridge, ON Full Time

GVF is looking to add a Truck Loader to our team in Cambridge, Ontario. In this role you will be responsible for loading all bulk and bagged feed products onto Grand Valley Fortifiers delivery trucks. This position is straight nights and is physically demanding. You will be required to stand, lift, carry, bend, reach and move heavy bags continuously. The ideal candidate should have tremendous physical stamina in order to meet the physical requirements of the position. In addition to physical stamina, you should also have great performance and work history, excellent time management and organizational skills and a keen eye for detail with the ability to complete tasks with high levels of accuracy.

What you’ll do: *

• Load both bulk and bagged material onto trucks neatly, correctly and following protocol
• Schedule and sequence the loading of trucks and products properly
• Make sure all orders are loaded on time so products can be delivered by drivers on schedule
• Follow all HACCP, CFIA and GVF procedures pertaining to truck loading
• Contribute and share workload equally with other loading staff
• Promote unity and harmony within the loading team
• Maintain a positive, safe and clean work environment
• Always work safely in all aspects of the job and use PPE at all times
• Assist in other areas when needed or when time permitting (plant)

Your background includes:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset
• A Valid G Driver’s License in good standing
• Experience operating a Forklift required or the ability to learn is a must
• Ability to lift and move 25kg bags continuously
• Ability to work night shift with flexibly for overtime hours as required

Working with us:

This is a permanent, full-time position based out of the Cambridge Plant at 486 Main Street E., Cambridge, Ontario. This is a consistent night shift position with the regular working hours being Sunday to Friday 9:00pm to 5:30am.
