About the opportunity

We really value clean, well-tested code and craftsmanship practices within our Development teams, and with offices in London, Shropshire and across Europe you’ll be collaborating with diverse and highly skilled international Engineering and Product teams.

Our products and teams are rapidly evolving with the introduction of new development process, continuous delivery practices, moving to PaaS cloud solutions, introducing metrics driven development, automating tests and introducing robust QA processes and this is where we’re looking for a QA Tester to make an impact.

What we need you to do

• Own and be an advocate for the team’s manual test processes
• Be an integral part of an Agile Development team
• Ensure fast-paced, quality bug-fix testing matches customer expectations of robust quick fixes
• Add value to basic testing processes
• Collaborate with Development and Product Management colleagues to ensure new or enhanced features receive thorough manual testing prior to automation
• Be able to interpret test results and liaise with the Development and Product Teams to ensure issues are dealt with swiftly
• Work closely with team colleagues who will be automating your manual tests
• Be prepared to learn Automation Skills
• Continuously improve our product, process, and tools

About you

• You’re unwaveringly customer-focused – you put a customer lens on all that you do. You have the ability to understand the problems of our target customers and translate them into actionable insights
• You know how to do this – you’ll be a skilled IT-User who understands the Software Development Cycle and appreciates how testing fits in. Coding experience would be useful but not essential. A high level of competency in MS Office products is essential
• You’re prepared to drive change – You use learning techniques, soft skills and lead by example to inject new ways of thinking wherever needed
• You value quality – you’ll be a passionate proponent of quality testing and strive to ensure our customers receive only the best product
• You’re agile – willing to wear different hats depending on team/product needs
• You can work autonomously – once given a project you can tackle the bulk of it taking input and feedback but making it your own through to successful conclusion
• You’ve got a curious mind – you read around your subject and default to open when it comes to sharing knowledge
