Position Summary

As the Head of Communications for Legal, Investments and Finance, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the communication strategy that supports all strategic initiatives led by this function. You will partner with the General Counsel, Chief Investments Officer and Chief Financial Officer and their leadership teams to drive communication excellence across a variety of initiatives and programs.

A strong collaborator with experience partnering across a matrixed organization and the ability to develop and implement communications strategies that support company objectives.

You will

• Create and execute the internal communications strategy for all related initiatives within the Legal, Investments and Finance functions.
• Build relationships and collaborate closely with colleagues in these areas, as well as enterprise communications and marketing.
• Leverage multiple channels (e.g., intranet, internet, social media, multi-media video, leader communications, town halls and management meetings) when developing integrated campaigns.
• Use communications to embed Guardian’s purpose and values and sustain employee engagement
• Develop high quality, error-free content and messaging.

You have

• Minimum of 10 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Experience using a variety of channels when setting communication strategy (both internal and external).
• An aptitude for storytelling and writing for a variety of audiences.
• Experience in the Insurance/Financial Services industry or other highly regulated industry.
• Agency experience preferred.

Location

• New York NY, Holmdel NJ or Stamford CT with work from home flexibility.
• Up to 25% travel within the U.S.
