We are currently seeking an experienced shipper to pick and ship goods as designated by pick lists, work orders, or delivery tickets. Material will be shipped according to general or order specific shipping instructions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Print pick lists and packing slips from Shipping Manager work screen of orders available for shipment. Process shipment in accordance with general or specific shipping instructions. Both verbal and written instructions may apply.
• Identify and pick finished goods for shipping as designated by pick lists or work orders. Items must be picked and then visually verified for accuracy relating to part number, quantity, product finishes, and/or order numbers.
• Visually verify for accuracy relating to part number, quantity, product finishes, and/or order numbers, goods picked by another person for the purposes of shipping.
• Process goods for shipping via ground services (i.e. UPS Ground, FedEx Ground) utilizing shipping computer system and software.
• Build skids of goods for truck shipment. Tasks include selecting sequence that the goods are stacked and choosing the appropriate packing materials (i.e. Wrap and strap, skid packs, crates, etc.) in order to assure material is delivered in good condition to its final destination.
• Process goods for shipping via LTL truck services (i.e. UPS Freight, USF Holland). Tasks include filling out Bill of Lading, printing of labels of final destination of skids, scale weighing of skids (including tare weights), and calling in truck carriers for pick-up of ready goods.
• Perform routine maintenance and recharging of material handling equipment (i.e. forklifts, pickers, etc) as directed by supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma and related experience of one year or more.
• Ability to read and understand requisitions, catalog drawings, bills of materials, work instructions, routings, etc.
• Ability to safely operate forklift or stock picker. Must be certified to operate forklift.
• Ability to prioritize workload in order to facilitate on time shipment of ready goods.
• Ability to meet physical requirements of position, as follows:
• Work is performed standing and extensive walking.
• Must be able to lift tote pans weighing up to 50 pounds

Compensation & Benefits:

• $14.23 – 16.00 starting pay rate. Annual increases based on performance and productivity.

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 1st shift. Occasional Saturdays.
