Summary

The Recruiter is responsible for driving all facets of recruiting success throughout the Hospice care team. The Recruiter plays a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent. This will be achieved through the development of recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. You’d also need to maintain online databases, social media sites, Boolean keyword searching, cold calling contact lists, and networking to identify and attract a diverse pool of high-caliber talent for the organization. As our primary sourcer and recruiter, your focus will be proactively identifying and developing a pipeline of candidates aligned with our specific needs. The key functions of this role will contribute to the recruitment efforts for clinical and care teams in the Greater Los Angeles area.

Job Responsibilities

• Establishes open positions by meeting with managers to discuss their recruitment needs.
• Determines applicant requirements by understanding job descriptions and job qualifications.
• Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, verifying references, and comparing qualifications to job requirements.
• Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites.
• Source potential and passive candidates through direct channels, social media, internet sourcing, extensive name-generation research, and relationship-building
• Evaluate applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers, and interviewing applicants on a consistent set of qualifications.
• Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules.
• Attend and schedule community job fairs as needed.
• Continually expand network by leveraging user groups, blogs, and networking events.
• Generate candidate interest through creative marketing/ social media messaging by clearly articulating the Guaranteed Hospice value proposition.
• Prequalify potential candidates to determine their qualifications through profiling, culture alignment, and behavioral-based interviewing
• Develop a pipeline of talent for current roles and future hiring needs

Skills and Toolsets You’ll Need to Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or have at least 1-3 years Recruiting experience
• 2+ year healthcare industry experience
• Experience with clinical recruiting (hospice preferred) and project management
• Familiarity with current direct sourcing techniques and continued effort to remain current with new techniques and skills
• Familiarity and exposure to a variety of ATS and/or CRM software
• Familiar with the legal aspects of hiring and interviewing
• Excellent communication, research, analytical and organizational skills
• Deep knowledge of healthcare industry competitors and trends needed to attract new talent and increase qualified applications
• Strong ability to generate and maintain candidate pipelines
• Strong knowledge of and/or experience in end-to-end recruitment process

• Past employment with a health tech startup
• Deep knowledge of hospice and home care competitors and industry trends needed to attract new talent and increase qualified applications
• Capacity to create a sourcing strategy for each role and/or future business objectives
• Experience conducting market research, competitors, and industry trends
• Data-backed mindset: measure success of sourcing and outbound efforts through metrics and makes recommendations for change based on findings
• Proficiency in the current version of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
