JOB TITLE: Global Controller

REPORTS TO: Chief Financial Officer

JOB SUMMARY:

The Global Controller reports to the Chief Financial Officer. The Global Controller is responsible for the management and professional development of a staff of approximately 50 individuals in multiple locations. The Global Controller is responsible for external reporting of financial statements under U.S. GAAP and IFRS for multiple entities across the organization. The role manages relationships with external auditors for each of the financial statements. The role also oversees the general ledger accounting function for all operating and corporate entities consisting of more than 100 entities in over 20 countries. The Global Controller is responsible for the internal control structure across the company and maintaining compliance with policies and procedures. The position will also drive operational efficiency through process improvements and leveraging technology. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual that excels in a dynamic, fast-paced and highly-acquisitive organization. The candidate will work closely with the CFO and the senior management team on various financial and business operations matters.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Prepare financial statements for monthly reporting to internal management and investors
• Prepare financial statements for quarterly reporting to lenders
• Prepare annual audited financial statements and footnotes under U.S. GAAP and IFRS for reporting to lenders and statutory authorities.
• Plan and execute accounting close procedures to comply with monthly reporting timelines
• Manage relationships with external auditors for all financial statement audits
• Manage and develop accounting staff in areas of general ledger, technical accounting, consolidations and financial reporting
• Manage and enhance internal control structure; ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Collaborate with functions within the finance department including, tax, treasury, finance operations (A/R and A/P) and FP&A
• Coordinate with other departments, including M&A, sales and operations on accounting-related matters for business transactions

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• CPA certification required
• 15+ years experience in accounting, including senior leadership experience
• Background of public and private accounting experience preferred Strong knowledge of financial accounting and reporting standards for US GAAP and IFRS, including knowledge of lease accounting standards (ASC842 and IFRS16)
• Experience in financial reporting with multi-currency operations.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, AX or similar ERP a plus
• Proven track record driving efficiencies through process and technology improvements
• Proficient user of Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and other MS Office suite products
• Self-motivated with ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced, highly-acquisitive environment

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Position will work from the corporate office and occasional travel to accounting operations centers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $210,000.00 – $250,000.00 per year
