GSK’s HR Tech team exists to unite data, technology and talent to deliver next generation digital and technology products and capabilities for our partners within HR and the GSK workforce.
The team’s mission is to enable HR’s digital and tech ambitions and strategies through delivery of a modern stable, secure, scalable and sustainable technology foundation, and catalysing the adoption of data and digital within HR.
The team are responsible for supporting, maintaining and enhancing the IT systems and services in place to support HR processes at GSK. This includes HR systems covering Core HR, Learning & Development, Talent, HR Services, Recruitment and Reward and Recognition. The HR Tech team partner with our markets and customers to identify opportunities to improve business processes, reduce cost, increase system adoption, improve user experience and enhance system integration whilst ensuring that all activities are compliant with the GSK IT Governance Guidelines.
HR Tech are committed to delivering projects which provide ongoing improvements and updates to our applications and improvements to the overall HR Tech service delivery. Providing continuous improvements to the platforms supported, prioritize the project portfolio to drive business value at optimal cost and collaborate with other Tech groups at enterprise level to ensure the optimal portfolio of applications exist within GSK.
Job Purpose:
Head of Global HR Technology plays a key role in driving business value through providing strategic direction, vision and tactical execution of solutions that supports the end-to-end HR Technology domain, including all global HR Technical Products and related IT services.
The role holder will act as the Tech & Digital business partner to the HR Function and their leadership teams, as well as Product Ownership accountability for prioritizing business demand and managing the solution development lifecycle for the Products within the HR portfolio (approximately 70 applications including Workday and SuccessFactors).
This role sits on the Global Functions Digital & Tech Leadership Team, and reports to the VP, Global Functions Digital & Tech.
Responsibilities:
To provide leadership and consultation to HR stakeholders on Technology & Digital investments and value-add activities in alignment and support of business strategic initiatives.
To ensure the successful and on-time deployment for global HR Technology projects, and associated benefits
Lead a large organization; approximately 10 Product Teams driving ongoing product improvements, made up of employees (on and offshore) and third parties.
To manage the department operating budget as well as capital allocation for approved projects
Maintain relationships with relevant Tech strategic partners (third-party system integrators), Application Management Service providers, and SAAS Suppliers
Accountable for ensuring all services and products supporting the business are compliant with internal security, risk management policies and practices, external regulatory and statutory requirements e.g., GxP, SARBOX and that Tech continuity plans are in place for all business-critical products

Degree, relevant experience in major Global Tech or HRIS organization
Track record in successful Tech strategy development, solution design, programme and product delivery and service management
Track record in delivering business impact through process and Tech enabled solutions
Experience of vendor management in particular Tech/BPO outsourcing
Outstanding management skills to inspire teams and provide highest level of customer service through coaching, teaching, and sharing feedback
Excellent relationship management, strong influencing and communication skills
Deep content knowledge of respective functional area (business operating models, processes & products)
