LOGISTICS MANAGER
Overview: GrowGeneration is one of the largest retailers of hydroponic products in the United States and is engaged in the business of marketing and distributing horticultural, organics, lighting, and hydroponics products, including lighting fixtures, nutrients, seeds and growing media, systems, trays, fans, filters, humidifiers and dehumidifiers, timers, instruments, water pumps, irrigation supplies and hand tools.
Position s To: Director of Distribution & Logistics
Purpose of Position: Responsible for providing logistical support for internal and external partners at the highest standard of service and care by coordinating shipments via parcel, LTL and truckload end to end, tracking shipments, and updating database as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and process all export shipment documentations; Bill of Landing, Commercial Invoices, SLI documents, IATA forms as required by US Custom and DOT.
- Review and audit freight bills for accuracy, classification, and dispute as necessary.
- Assist and/or conduct pre-screening of new potential vendor as related to Logistics.
- Conduct weekly ing of freight spending of inbound, outbound, intercompany shipments.
- Coordination of outbound/inbound load requests and scheduling while adhering to formal routing and carrier selection guidelines
- Manage and provide resolutions for all escalated issues in regard to Logistics. Claims (short, denied), late delivery, expedited delivery, rescue and recovery.
- Coordination of all shipping documentation; including proper hazmat documentation and compliance
- Problem resolution conduit for customer service issues involving logistics management gaps and defects
- Ensure internal and external customer satisfaction in all areas of delivery service
- Provide constant communications of service issues, both outbound and inbound, to appropriate personnel and departments
- Assist in establishing and continuously improving SOPs of our logistics work. Support training and provide management of staff members to ensure that they run operations according to these SOPs.
- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) of our logistics and warehouse operations and prepare communications, participate in cross-functional collaborations, and delegate tasks accordingly to achieve KPI goals.
- Work in collaboration with the Director of Logistics to create a grading program to grade and vet logistics vendors.
- Work in collaboration with Fleet Manager and Director of Logistics to source resolution as required by the supply chain visions, goals and commitment.

- Providing logistics quotes as requested in a timely manner
- Review, Monitor and Audit WEX fuel usage (delete this line)
- Review, audit and approve fleet leasing and repairs (delete this line)
- Keeping work zone clean and orderly to promote a safe and clean work environment
- Communicating with supervisor any issues or concerns that arise regarding work duties
- Support warehouse staff as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Working Under Pressure – Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations
- Time Management – Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines
- Knowledge of basic DOT regulations
- Computer literacy: Microsoft Office, WMS, shipping software
- Highly developed communication skills (written and verbal)
