The Instrumentation Engineer is responsible for supporting the design, installation, commissioning, and operation of a new Battery Active Material (BAM) Factory. This position will join the engineering team tasked with the design and construction of the world’s largest production facility of next generation lithium silicon anode materials. This position is uniquely situated to develop an instrumentation program for companywide impact and visibility.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING :

• Serve as subject matter expert for engineering and maintenance staff on instrumentation and related controls engineer.

• Be a resource to project engineers in helping specify instrumentation on capital projects.

• Develop instrumentation specification standards and specification sheets.

• Work with maintenance in developing instrumentation preventative maintenance and calibration plans.

• Assist maintenance, operations, or production engineering in troubleshooting instrumentation.

• Support development and implementation of Process Safety Management Systems.

• Assist design personnel with instrument location plans, loop drawings and I/O wiring diagram.

• Help select or develop instrumentation database for specifications and calibration records.

• Configure or program instruments in the field with required software.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR :

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical, mechanical, chemical, manufacturing or related engineering.

• MUST HAVE industrial engineering experience.

• Experience in materials production and/or chemical processing is preferred.

• Experience in capital project management.

• Experience with DCS & SIS control systems (Emerson, Yokogawa or similar).

• Experience with PLC and SCADA control systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Ignition etc.)

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Demonstrated organizational skills.

OTHER QUALITIES WE’D LOVE FOR YOU TO HAVE :

• Experience with instrumentation troubleshooting at industrial facilities.

• Experience with instrumentation documentation in a PSM covered facility.

• Experience with control systems (DCS, SIS, PLC, SCADA, etc.)

The base pay range for this role is $70,000 to $100,000. Actual pay depends on various factors, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills.
