About the Opportunity:

Focusing on a range of technical/engineering opportunities, the Talent Acquisition Business Partner – Defence is responsible for sourcing and delivering talent solutions to our Nova Systems ANZ Defence Business. You could be supporting one or more of the following areas;

• LAND Systems
• Aerospace, Information and Surveillance
• Explosive Munitions Branch
• Internal support roles as required

Due to the technical nature of the roles you will be recruiting, you’ll need to be tech savvy in nature, and comfortable with modern technical recruitment practices that ensure we optimise where possible. We operate in a project delivery-based environment that can be dynamic, technical, and agile, and you will need to have a change management mindset to adapt to business requirements.

If you have previous experience working in a technical role in the ARMY, or Defence and looking to make a change in your career, we would be interested in speaking with you.
Knowledge of LAND Defence systems would be advantageous.

Locations considered for this role are flexible.

What you will be involved with:

• Partnering with leaders and stakeholders to provide strategic recruitment advice whilst delivering a premium service focused on outcomes
• Attend relevant stakeholder meetings and workshops relevant to your portfolio
• Supporting the recruitment process throughout the entire lifecycle from candidate attraction to employment offer
• Design, construct and maintain relevant advertising campaigns and sourcing strategies, to meet current and future workforce demands
• Utilising social media to contact and network with active and passive talent pools
• Providing mentoring, coaching and advice to key stakeholders regarding best recruitment practice and methodologies
• Participating in interviews (as required) and provide advice to Hiring Managers regarding the interview process
• Providing data driven advice to your Hiring Managers to inform recruitment decision making (Power BI, LinkedIn Insights etc)
• Providing an innovative “Optimise where possible” approach to your workplace and participate in People projects where applicable

What we expect from you:

• Recruitment experience (preferably in a technical or Engineering domain) alternatively
• Experience working in a Defence technical domain in either the Army, RAAF or Navy, and looking for a career change
• Be eligible for an AGSVA Defence clearance
• Excellent interpersonal, influencing and relationship building
• Ability to work in an agile environment with a strong desire to learn
• Demonstrated initiative, trust and reliability and the ability to work autonomously
• Out of the box forward thinking; passion for innovation and improvement
