The Human Resources Regional Director position will provide leadership and oversight to the Human Resource Manager teams located in our California, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas markets. Works with regional operation teams and organizational leaders to include Market Directors, Regional Aftersales Directors, and executive leaders. This position will report to the Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer & Chief Diversity Officer. The position may be based in one of the following Texas locations: Austin, San Antonio, Houston, or Dallas and will supervise a team of five Human Resource Managers.

Responsibilities:

• Provides leadership and development of the Human Resources team.
• Works with leaders on talent management and related organizational strategies that support the business objectives and goals
• Identifies risks and vulnerabilities; creates contingency plans
• Coach and advise the leaders in support of building effective teams and addressing employee relations matters
• Leads cross-organizational efforts to identify and resolve systemic issues such as retention and turnover
• Partners with the leadership team to support the following organizational strategies: DEI, Talent Development, Succession Planning, Talent Acquisition and Employee Retention.
• Ensures compliance with corporate policies, local and federal laws and statutory requirements
• Provides counsel to the leadership on a broad spectrum of the employee lifecycle
• Engages with other leaders to maintain, and champion the mission, vision, strategy and culture of the organization
• Cultivate professional relationships with the leadership in all areas of the organization

Qualifications:

• Proven work experience as a Regional Human Resources Director or similar role, understanding of the employee lifecycle, good knowledge of employment law, excellent verbal and written communication skills and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Learning and Development, and HRIS
• Shifts comfortably between big picture thinking and the tactics required to achieve outcomes
• Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 8-10+ years of leadership experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Some travel to the market area dealerships, departmental meetings or training sessions as required.
