As a Talent Scout, you work to bring our clients the best people in Tech, building relationships and your network across the local market. You pool talent intelligently, while remaining aware of your talents’ aspirations, trends in the market and client demands. All of this gives you the ability to deliver with speed and relevance.

What will you be doing?
On a daily basis, you could expect to be doing the following:

• Writing job ads for job boards and LinkedIn;
• Assessing resumes and LinkedIn profiles of potential candidates;
• Utilising social media to attract new talent;
• Building your candidate pools through networking and connecting with new talent;
• Phone screening and interviewing candidates;
• Reference and work rights checking candidates;
• Negotiating good outcomes for candidates and clients;
• Visiting client sites to discuss new roles.

About you
You want to be successful and you are prepared to work hard, invest the effort, and then reap the rewards. You want to get your career started with a company that will promote your professional growth. You will need self-confidence and determination, and it would help to be a natural conversationalist. Bucket loads of optimism, no matter how unrealistic, is always a useful trait for a recruiter!

You will need to have a thick skin; resilience and grit lets you take the knocks and helps you get back up. You learn from failure and take it as character building.

You may have made a start in recruitment already, or come from a sales or customer service background, or even from a technical/IT path. But you want something more, where you can harness all of your experience, traits and personality into a highly valuable skill.
