Job Description

Grit Capital is seeking a highly motivated email newsletter salesperson. Responsible for continuing and creating new sales momentum among agencies and brands who buy newsletters. Candidate should have experience in selling newsletters and understanding client’s needs. The ideal candidate should be driven, focused on relationship building and have experience with consultative selling and closing deals. Must have a rolodex of existing relationships with clients and agencies buying financial media newsletters. This job is remote and can be anywhere in US or Canada.

We are now building a substantial media business with 4 core Pillars: Content, Community, Creators and Data.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Meeting and exceeding revenue goals while surpassing internal KPIs set by the CRO who you will be ing to.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently to find new business within the territory
• Being an expert in the full suite of products and advertising solutions across The Grit portfolio
• Selling programs which include Newsletters, digital video, social media and targeted scale media
• Building and managing an individual pipeline to exceed personal sales targets through direct partnerships.
• Delivering quality customer service to our brand partners through effective communication and timely deliveries
• Proactively identifies new revenue opportunities; drives account growth and profitability acceleration including new business, up-sell and cross-sell opportunities
• Owns extensive client communication, strategic planning and troubleshooting account complications to promote client satisfaction; develops and improves executive level relationships within named account(s)
• Creates value and differentiates our audiences/products from competitors
• Partnering with Marketing and Shared Services internally to identify and build solutions to generate leads, convert opportunities, and drive a repeatable revenue stream

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of Newsletters sales experience within at a financial media publisher
• An ambitious, self-starter attitude- A Tru Hunter
• Existing relationships that can shorten the sales cycle
• Ability to work in a faced-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Understanding of financial media landscape
• A solution-oriented mindset to handle objections
• Strong communication and presentation skills

Why Work Here

The pay range for this position is: $55,000 – $60,000 + 20% bonus based on meeting sales targets The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, performance and other factors. The range listed is just one component of Grit Capital’s total compensation package for salespeople. Pay: $55,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
